Parent involvement is an integral part of a community kindergarten – every year, parents form a parent management committee, to manage the administration and maintenance of the kindy facilities plus co-oordinate the fundraising activities throughout the year.
The committee works closely with the teaching staff to achieve building maintenance and playground improvement goals which reflect and enhance the kindy’s educational program, facilities and community values.
Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the committee, assist with fundraising activities and sign up for parent help days at kindy. Younger siblings are able to accompany parents, as community kindergartens are family-friendly places.
